She is such a sweety, and what a beauty! I gave her a good long groom which she really enjoyed and tried to return the favor best she could. Blomke is doing terrific. Everyone LOVES her! I will be having photos taken this Sunday and will send you some as soon as I recieve them from the photographer.

Update...
Here is a photo of Blomke and I just a day after she arrived. You will have to excuse the mix of tack...it was the best I could do while waiting for your dressage tack package to arrive. Blomke is doing terrific. She is liked by all the horses and adored by all the boarders. Blomke is a true gem! She got preg checked yesterday and she is still in foal and looks to be due in March. She is everything you said she would be. She is perfect. Thanks so much!

3 months later....

Jaap is doing very well. Here are a couple of pics of Andrew and Jaap. The summer is horribly hot and dry...reaching in the 100's this week nearly all week, with Carolina humid (yuk)...makes one appreciate Minnesota. I can't wait for the Fall. Jaap is a very sweet boy. He is wonderful under saddle, very well behaved. Andrew is planning to take Jaap to his first show in September.

Update...
Gosse is continuing to do great.   He looks really great. My trainer as well as everyone else at my barn is totally in love with him. Of course I am also. Thank you!

2 months later.... Here is a picture of Gosse and I. He is really doing great and I love him so much. I stopped by and picked up a cooler and a blanket. They fit great. He is truly a fabulous horse. I feel so lucky to have found him.

3 years later... Becky (my new trainer) loves Gosse very much. She showed him last season and he was fantastic. She also loves Rinke, I ride him and take lessons with Rinke. I will never part with either of them. They are so wonderful. Thanks again Janna.

Update .....

I hope all is going well in CA. I've been keeping up with your website. At some point I want to come out and visit your farm. Emma and Zander are doing great! Zander is a real mover, he can really float in the air when he trots. We bred Emma back to Fridse and she took on the first try.

4 Months Later.............
Hi Janna, I just wanted to let you know that Zander had his Keur today and we got the only 1st premie! And Champion of 9 colts! They both did awsome.

1 1/2 years later........
Emma is doing very well, she had a new Fridse filly that we are going to keep - she won Reserve Champion this year. Emma is now pregnant to Heinse for next year. She has been so easy to breed. I attached a photo of the new filly, Bettina and Emma.

Hi Janna,

Aris is doing very well. I have been enjoying riding him.
I started up my weekly lessons on him.
He's fun to ride and perfect for me!  We are going to our first CDS show on September 8th and will be showing First level tests 3 and 4. On September 29th we are going to a clinic with Tamara DeGroot Majors. Aris is a PERFECT partner for me!  He's willing to try and is fun to ride and pamper.      

I feel fortunate to be owned by one such as Aris :-)

Update... Karst is still a big hit at my house. People come see him every week. I just love him to death. I feel so blessed to have him. I took him on a trail ride and he was just great, did everything I asked him to. We even ran across a snake and he just stepped around it. It scared me to death. I really appreciate you giving me the opportunity to own such a great horse. Karst is great and I love him dearly. He is a very happy boy....
I received Karst's bridle, thank you so much. I also wanted to tell you I appreciate the service I received from you with Karst, he arrived great looking and you were always so thoughtful and helpful. I recently bought a Gypsy Vanner and my luck was not at as good. So I wanted to tell you again how much I appreciate your good service, I tell everyone I know if they purchase a Friesen to make sure they get it from you. Thanks again for everything. Karst is a very happy boy, he loves it here. ... had my first riding lesson today on Karst. My instructor rode Karst and just fell in love with him. She said she had never ridden a four year old so well mannered and that knew so much. I was a very proud mother. She had so many nice things to say about him. She said she was in love, I told her I knew where she could get one, ha, ha... She said he could go far and she would be proud to show him. I told her thanks but me and him were going to stay at local shows and trail ride and have great fun. Also, she said she had never ridden in a dressage saddle that was so great. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to experience such a great horse. I have had a lot of horses in my life and still have most of them, ha, ha, but never one that I loved like him.
Update 1 year later... Karst and I went to our first dressage show this past Saturday. We took first and got the highest score of the show 72.It was great, thanks you so much for him, he is a dream.
Karst and I just got back from the Feathered Horse Classic in Perry, GA. Karst was a perfect gentleman as usually and the crowd loved him. He got Reserve Champion Halter Friesian and Reserve Champion Performance Friesian. I was really excited since I was not real sure what I was doing, but of course he got me through it. We were up against some tough Dutch trainers so I was really excited about our wins. The band Sugarland was warming up right at the arena and all the horses were jumping off but I just told him easy and he put his trust in me and we went on like nothing was happening. Thanks again for such a wonderful partner. There was nothing like hearing the crowd cheer for your horse and Karst really loved it. He is the best boy in the world....PS: I was extra excited because I made the World and Reserve World Champion Period Horse Costumes....

Just a quick note to let you know that everything is going great. She is starting to really show and bag up.... Thank you so much for Waeltsje and getting us started with the best.

I have been waiting for a day like today.... we had the most beautiful day ever. I trucked my mustang, Waeltsje and my daughters pony to a 700 acre farm. This is the first time she has been off the farm without her baby but she did fine..... Wow did we ride, for three hour including herding some cattle-- she was breath taking. I have never in my life see such a trot on any horse. She is a true prize and worth ever penny. It took some tricks to get her to canter but again is was unbelievable.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Update 1 year later...
It has been a year and I am just writing to say thank you!  The kids took Waeltsje to a 4-H show and she was wonderful most people had never seen such a horse...... She took first in saddle seat and 5th in dressage, the 5th was due to the rider not the horse.  She and her baby Zucci Royal, who is a year old now and driving (not pulling anything).Thank you so much !

My daughter Jade and Waeltsje have found their calling...  This is only about Jades fifth lesson and she is doing great on Waeltsje....

Update...4 years later.... Dear Janna, Just wanted to share the amazing results at the North Carolina Keuring today. Zucci Royal at four years old received a 79 at the IBOP for Dressage. She was ridden by Jennifer Flowers and was just stunning. She was also reserve champion mare. Waeltsje is still winning and happy too. Thank you so much for are wonderful girls.

Teade (we've given him back his real name) is doing great. He is THE most wonderful horse!!! My trainer is crazy about him too. I finally got to take a few lessons on him the last few weeks, as Steve was out of town, and I am learning so much on him. We are not going to take him to the keuring, at least not this year... he is bleached blond!!!  Nonetheless, he is still fantastic and gorgeous for our standards. I can't tell you the compliments he gets at the barn. I am in contact with his previous owner, and she is still heartbroken about having sold him.
Not to forget Liudger....He is doing well also, ... I have been able to take him out on the trails, and he is great there (even more brave than Teade).
The best part... they love each other and are stall neighbors and pastured together all day. One nickers when the other comes back from a ride... they formed an immediate (well, after a week or so of kicking the heck out of each other) bond. Congrats on all your ribbons at the last couple of shows. Nice carriage too! I'm going out to buy a spare tire for my trailer after reading about your last show return. 
 
5 months later....
Teade is doing great. He has relaxed when out on trails, and in the arena, well, he is a wonder work horse. He is fun, sweet and I can take him anywhere.

8 months later...
Our boys are both sweet as ever. Teade is fun to ride, a great teacher, safe and wonderful in the saddle and with his groundmanners, and behind his stoic appearance, has a definite personality—which has taken some time to find!!! He is gorgeous beyond compare—such long legs!! I ride him a lot so he is really fit. We go on trails quite a bit, and he is getting used to California ‘back-country’, with all its trees, bushes and hills.

Update...

Boys are doing great. This weekend I’m off to Chico for a 3 day riding clinic, will ride Teade and take Liu for the field trip value… (and, can’t bear to split them up!!!) We’ve also signed up for the Jan Englesma Clinic in SR in July. Teade and I are planning on a schooling show (my first show ever) this summer. I am in frequent contact with his old owner, and she still misses him L… She seems to like the photos and updates.

Truda is settling in fine. She's sooo affectionate. It's true friesians are definitely people oriented. She's like a puppy, wants to follow us everywhere, as you can see she loves her big white "dog" friend, too!!
We've been doing a lot of ground work with her. She has a lot of energy! She also is in love with one of the wild mustangs that live around here, there's a yearling colt that seems taken with her and they nuzzle each other over the fence.
Thank you so much for everything. I wish I could get another friesian tomorrow. Hopefully we can do business again soon.

 5 months later.....
I bought a Yearling filly named Truda in April, and she is doll!!!  The affection that she shows is amazing, she's more like a puppy than a horse.  She's also very curious and playful.  She always seems to take an interest in anything new that comes her way!!!  There is  construction, road work in my area, and Truda has made friends with all the workers.  Every morning she goes to the end of the field to greet them.  I am in love with friesians and hope one day to be able to get another one!!!

I bought a yearling filly from you 2 yrs ago named Truda. I want to say she is very loving, gentle and my best friend.

Hi Janna,
Wander arrived at 7 AM yesterday morning. He looked amazing. Imagine, it took 8 days on the trailer in horrible weather, to get him here and he still came off like a gentleman. Horsein Around did a fantastic job. They kept me informed. They were gentle and caring with my precious cargo and he looked absolutely fantastic. I am still in a daze and cannot believe my dream has finally come true.
Janna thank you for delivering exactly what I have always dreamed of.
You are the best, your reputation is well deserved. Everyone at the barn is mesmerized by Wander and rightfully so!!!!! Thank you !!!

Update...
Wander is everything I have ever dreamed of. He is so sweet. When he is in his paddock and sees me coming he comes right over and follows me around. He is tall dark and handsome, with the absolute cutest face!!!! I am working with a Trainer and she loves his attitude, very willing. He has such beautiful confirmation, especially for his size, he is tall and I love it!! We will probably show him next year. He also is loving the trails. I go out quite often. As you said in your instructions, if you are gentle and patient, he responds. He is really getting to trust me even if he is nervous about something, he is trusting my direction. I have to mention how comfortable he is also. Love, love, love his trot and canter, I am hooked for life.
This has been such a positive experience for me and so many people I know cannot believe that he is exactly what you said he was. Three kids, two dogs and I spend every free moment with my boy!!! I will give him a hug and a carrot for you. You will be happy to know, he is spoiled by everyone at the barn, he is so easy to be around and so well mannered.

I'm sorry it took me so long to write.  With 3 kids and 3 dogs and a horse, life can get busy.  It is hard to believe that it will be two years in April since I bought Wander.  It has truly been a dream come true.  He is everything I hoped for and more.  He is working hard with our trainer Sue and hopefully will be shown in the spring.  I have had countless trail rides with my boy and some wonderful trips to the beach.   We have a loving and trusting relationship, a perfect match.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I can't imagine my life without him.

Hey Janna,
Dytmer is now "Wolfgang Joop"! I call him Joop. He is so fabulous!! I knew the minute I saw him in the trailer the night he arrived that everything happens for a reason.
He is the horse for me!!
We bonded right away and he has the cutest personality and is just plain gorgeous. I have 2 other geldings about the same size as Joop. Their names are Versace and Dolce and they have become the 3 amigos. Thanks for everything.
