Mindert is a beautiful ster gelding with super movement!!!

He is well ridden under saddle and pulling a carriage. We LOVE this boy's easy character. He is always willing to work:) He has a good canter under the saddle, which is not always easy for young friesians.

AND  even a 6 yr old can ride and handle him. Easy as pie. Mindert is clean on X-rays and TWICE earned the STER predicate as a stallion:)

As a 2 1/2 yr old this boy became a STER stallion, and was a bit too youthful to make it to the 70 day test.

This Ulbert son has something SPECIAL!!! His mother is DOUBLE preferent...she has had 8 STER offspring!!!!

How many imported ster geldingss do you know that have STER+PREFERENT four times in a row in their motherline?????

Mindert does! Mindert EASILY made ster . The Judges LOVED him. Being a STER is in his genes.... his half brother , Willem S, was in the 70 days test in 2004/5. Mindert STER is a very promising dressage horse, as well. He is just under 16.0 hands, still growing, and sired by Ulbert.

Oh yeah, and did we mention the motherline on this STER gelding is 4 times ster preferent in a row (!!!!!).

This boy is not only ideally built uphill with a strong, short coupled back, but he also has the talent and most importantly, the work ethic, to go all the way to FEI levels. Mindert is ridden western out on the trails twice a week, is not at all spooky, and now has a lot of show experience. Julia showed him all season and was 1st or 2nd every time out!! And no matter if flags are blowing in the wind, people screaming, loud trucks honking, etc...Mindert just does his job, goes to work, and comes out on TOP.He is aJ OY to ride, no matter the discipline, or where you are.

This is a beautiful Ulbert STER gelding. He has the fairytale look with tons of mane, tail and feathers, and a very proud showy posture. Mindert STER is trained to ride and drive, has the oh so sought after SHOW ring experience, is very smart and willing, and likes to work. He has great conformation [well, of course he does, he received the coveted STER designation for his outstanding conformation and movement!] with big, beautiful movement and lots of natural suspension.

Mindert also received a 1st premie as a foal, a designation only bestowed on the tippy top 3-5% of all foals.

He has a low 4.1% in breeding and a thorough pre-purchase exam , and good clinical x-rays, on file with the KFPS.

This is an amazing DANCING horse and you will fall in love with him at first sight. Solid in walk, trot, canter transitions and he just gets better and better every time we work him. He has good use of back and hind end. Mindert is a PROVEN winner going saddleseat and has GREAT DRESSAGE POTENTIAL, and we have just taught him to JUMP!!

He is wonderful out on trails (crosses bridges, streams, etc.)  This is truly THE BEST TRAIL HORSE in our barn. Parades, exhibitions, shows...no problem for Mindert. We love Mindert's good attitude and he loves to work, great impulsion!

This year, Mindert made a very successful showring debut in the walk and trot division, with Julia in the irons, at the Monterey Springfest Horse Show !!!

This incredible trotting machine was crowned GRAND CHAMPION Walk and Trot Friesian.
