Friso is a gorgeous 4-year old Friesian, with unlimited talent for dressage. He has an INCREDIBLE pedigree!!! Sired by Olof and out of the well known Model mare, Pinksterfamke, his motherline is storybook: Model-Ster+Pref-Ster+ Pref. And Friso has a LOW 1.95% inbreeding.
Now let's talk about his dressage capabilities.... Friso is a PROVEN champion at First Level, and is schooling 2nd and 3rd level. He now has so many points in L level competition, they are forcing him to the next level. Friso competed and was 6th place overall at the very competitive Friesian National Championships, and he qualified for the highly prestigious Dutch Championships. On Sept 24th, Friso finished 4th out of ALL FRIESANS IN EUROPE for L Level Dressage [first level]!!!!! This means Friso was better than literally HUNDREDS of other friesians...most of our horses only DREAM of qualifying for the Dutch Championships, let alone being awarded 4th place in that highly contested championship:)

Friso IS available for import to NY or LA, but let us know if you prefer him to fly to NY, otherwise he is about to be imported to LA.
Friso is also an experienced driving horse, both as a single , pairs, and 4 in hand. *** Check out Ron's story (on Amalfi's page in the recentlly sold section) about Friso in the 4-in-hand on a recent jaunt we took with him, in the Dutch countryside.
Friso has 3 superb, supple, powerful gaits with excellent use of his hindlegs. Friso has the best disposition a rider could wish for and he, too, passed our discriminating "Ron" test [whereby Ron, our resident beginner rider, rode Friso during our recent trip to Holland, and LOVED him]. Friso has a soft mouth, and responds quickly to the rider's aids. Obviously this boy progresses rapidly, he has already accomplished much for his young age, and has the show record to prove it. We expect he could easily move up to 3rd level wiithin months! This is a Friesian with rare qualities, and a great horse for the dressage rider who is looking for a friesian with true FEI potential. Of course, he would also make a very comfortable horse for all you trail and pleasure riders.
