Horse Description
Marco is a 6-year-old Friesian who truly has the whole package and then casually throws in a little extra magic for good measure.
He is an absolutely fairytale-looking horse with exceptional beauty, a long and thick flowing mane, and striking Barock conformation that turns heads everywhere he goes. His round, uphill neck and powerful yet elegant frame give him that unmistakable presence in the arena that people expect from a top Black Sterling horse.
Under saddle, Marco is a joy in every sense of the word. He is a big, strong mover with excellent expression, yet he remains incredibly forgiving and willing, making him suitable for every rider, including beginners. He genuinely wants to please his rider and never punishes mistakes, instead stepping in with balance and kindness.
His gaits are solid, rhythmic, and naturally uphill, and his canter is especially noteworthy—capable of becoming very collected while remaining smooth, balanced, and extremely comfortable to sit.
Marco is as confident outside the arena as he is within it. He has extensive experience hacking out on trails, in nature, and in traffic, and he is not the spooky type. He is calm, brave, and sensible in new situations, which makes him the kind of partner you trust implicitly. He is also easy and friendly with other horses, well-adjusted, and uncomplicated to have in the barn.

Beyond his talent and temperament, Marco’s pedigree is truly one to die for. He is sired by Teun and out of a Ster mare by Alwin, with a dam line stacked with predicates, including a Ster dam, a famous Model + Sport Pref Prest AAA grandmother, a Ster Sport Pref AAA great-grandmother, and a Ster great-great-grandmother.
Marco has good X-rays and is clearly a horse with serious potential for the upper levels of dressage, while being enjoyable and confidence-building right now.
