Torbin has 3 good gaits and is easy to work with. He already has experience competing in dressage! He also did an IBOP test with a VERY high score ... 81 points!! This HIGH score resulted in his dame, Maaike Brechtsje (ALSO the dam of Elias!) to obtain the Performance predicate, adding to her long list of accolades---as she is already KROON AND Sport!

The international Grand Prix horse Elias 494 has been named the "Friesian Horse of the Year 2019 

Elias was honoured with this title at the 2019 Friesian Stallion Licensing in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, on 9 - 11 January 2020.  The HOY title is allocated by public vote and expert panel.

The rising 11-year old black stallion is by Jorn 430 out of Maaike Brechtsje D (Torbin's dam!!!!).

Under Belgian Marc-Peter Spahn, Elias made his international Grand Prix debut in 2019 and competed at the CDI's in Hagen, Hamburg, Falsterbo and Emrleo, achieving scores that rose throughout the show season.

Their first year at Grand Prix culminated in winning the title of European Champion for Friesians Dressage Horses in October 2019.

AND he is a stunning beauty. This GORGEOUS guy is now going 3rd level and has enormous presence and is just a WOW! He has proven, quality movement and a show record most friesians only dream of: he has winning points in M level dressage, PROVING that he is scoring above 70% in 2nd level tests, was selected for the European Friesian Championships, and now is going 3rd level dressage!

 He not only has extensive dressage show experience, moving up from Training Level, to First Level, to Second Level, and now 3rd level movements; he also goes regularly out on trails, AND scored higher than most approved stallions in his driving IBOP test!

He is an absolute sweetheart and will steal your heart, if you are not careful:)

Torbin STER is a very willing partner--- he is respectful and gentle and will do exactly what you ask of him.

He is also a cuddle bucket--- very personable and loves to socialize with people. He is truly well behaved and friendly under saddle. A joy to ride, and have in your barn.  He gets along VERY well with other horses in the pasture, and he goes out on long hacks by himself, without any difficulties.

Torbin is easy to control, yet he is not a lazy friesian. 3 very good gaits---electric extended trot!

It is never easy for us to find the quality of this type of STER friesian......good x-rays, and a recent proven show record in dressage. We looked at literally hundreds of horses-- very few have what it takes to become a BSF friesian. And very few geldings sport a show record with enough high scores, to be selected for the friesian dressage championships....!

Torbin is phenomenal, he is eager to learn, has a happy youthful temperament, and he loves to show off.  He is an eye-catcher,with an arched neck, very good use of hind quarters, and the desired movement required for Upper-Level Dressage.
