Horse Description

Height: 15.3 hands

Durk is an outstanding dressage gelding we imported from Europe. He is scoring WELL against warmbloods at 2nd level, and is ready for 3rd level!!!

He has a baroque build, and is a powerful collected mover with excellent suspension. We love the uphill conformation on this boy. He is willing and eager to please, safe, sane and sound. AND he has the bloodlines of a top dressage competitor.  Durk has  extensive professional training in dressage under his belt----he has been in dressage training with a classical dressage trainer for 4 yrs!

And how many friesians do you know that have shown extensively, always placing in the top three at 1st-2nd level?????

This gorgeous boy is ready to show at 3rd level!!!

Currently Working half pass, canter pirouettes and can perform flying changes in both directions.

Lovely, Kind, Gentle, Honest Gelding!!

He has 3 wonderful gaits, and dressage riders-you will like how comfortable Durk is to sit. We like Durk's uphill conformation, his jet black shiny coat, and his WONDERFUL disposition. He has no vices whatsoever, and would be an ideal choice for a novice, timid, or inexperienced rider, or child, or amateur adult, due to his willingness to please. He will also make the competitive dressage rider happy, as he goes in a very nice frame, and really tracks up well, with space and tact, and perfect rhythm to his gaits.
And this is a very reasonably priced friesian gelding with MUCH show experience, making him an excellent first horse for some lucky home.

Rides AND Drives

Incredible Pedigree... Ster-Ster-Pref-Ster

He has had no health issues whatsoever.... never been sick a day or lame a day in his life.

He is ready to show Third Level---come take Durk for a spin.

He has a perfect body, and looks, is nice to handle in the barn and has a refined head. He is level headed, has never bitten, kicked or bucked or rearerd...this boy is very easy, about as uncomplicated as they come.

Durk is quiet on the trail, not a spooky horse.  He is very easy going and also unusually loving---- the vet says he does not even have to put a halter on Durk, to give him a vaccination.  He is THAT quiet, and THAT much of a people horse.

Durk is an easy keeper and he gets along with other horses in the pasture.

Is Durk black??? Yes, this is a jet black Friesian, but like most of our body clipped horses, he appears "golden" when body clipped, and his coat goes right back to being jet black, as his hair grows out!

Durk is suitable for a novice rider and ready to excel up the levels with a amateur or professional.
