Horse Description

Height: 15.2 hands

This is a wonderful baroque gelding that has been adored and loved and shown by the same owner since he was 1 month old.  He was only sold due to time constraints on the owner ---she would love for someone else to have the opportunity to ride, show and enjoy this sweet, kind gelding.  Due to her unselfish gesture of allowing someone else this opportunity, we will sell Tabe to an approved forever home only---he truly is a special gem!

And if not sold???? Well, Janna was looking for a new western show horse (sorry Sterling!) to compete on the west coast.

Why is Tabe so special???  Owned by the same person since he  was a month old, and imported from CanadaTabe is the kind of horse that always gives 110%.  He has never been sick or lame a day in his life.  He has never even had a fever!!   Never coliced and has super good, hard feet.  He's been shoeless for a couple years,  unless he goes on rocky trails, he does not  need shoes!

He is an excellent trail horse as he never stumbles and he always has his balance. He has been on rides that many experienced trail riders would never go on. Trails that make you dizzy to look across to the next canyon, mountain side or just to look down...Very steep hills up and down.... Not a problem for Tabe! He never misses a step; this boy always knows where his feet are.  He is a very fast learner.  Also, he is easy to keep contained. He won't mess with fences.

Tabe is very smart.   He learns fast and remembers everything.

His first professional training was under a western trainer, specializing in reining and working cow horses. He will spin, do flying lead changes, slide to a stop and he neck reins.  Neck reining is what he knows best!

He's not a mean horse.  NO biting, kicking, etc. We trust him on the ground with anyone. And he enjoys living in a stall OR in the pasture, which was proven during a stay in Montana, where Tabe resided with a herd of working Quarter Horses and Texas Longhorns, and got along just fine.

Tabe will probably be the only Friesian to live to see 35, he is VERY VERY healthy.

This boy is better than just any ole'' trail horse or pleasure horse, but he is FINE with being just that for you, if you do not want to show. However, should you decide to venture out--this boy has won his share of blue ribbons, and regional championships, and in fact he took his rider to her first dressage show just 3 weeks ago, and was a superb dressage partner!

This 11 year old gelding  is out of a star mare, and Pyt, an outstanding and no longer living approved stallion that sired very few offspring before his untimely death, is his daddy.  Tabe received a 2nd premium at his keuring.

He has been shown a lot, his specialty is western riding.  He also drives and was ridden hunt seat in Las Vegas a couple years ago at the Grand Nationals!   Tabe is 15.2 hands, very compact and sports the wonderful friesian baroque type.  He has many years of professional training on him.  Not only has he never ever been sick or lame,  we just had a thorough pre-purchase exam with flexion tests done on him on may 13, 2009.   He's very robust and has a winning attitude. Tabe also comes with a Lifetime USEF membership.

The driving  photos are from a "Ride-Drive" Friesian club event/meeting with an obstacle course ... Tabe thought it was really fun!   Come to BSF and take Tabe for a ride, and fall in love with his sweet nature.
