I cannot even tell you how much I am enjoying my filly! It's crazy to me, growing up on Saddlebreds, how calm this breed is! She's not afraid of hardly anything and when she is, she walks really slow and snorts, but she will always keep going if I ask her to. She's so trusting and such a sweetheart. She's a joy to handle, loves having her mane brushed, and even loves baths! I've never owned a horse who didn't flip out at the sight of water and Wendy was just delighted with it! She really is so brave and so intelligent for her age. I'm already teaching her how to nod on command and she'll come when called, walk when asked, and whoa at the word. Next I'm working on trotting and cantering on command then it's off to bowing and shaking.
She took so quickly to me, too! My roommate who also has a horse at Wendy's stables has let her out to play on several occasions and Wendy never reacts when Sally walks away but when I walk away she tries to jump the fence to join me! It's so adorable. Everyone who has seen us together has commented how Wendy really seems to know I'm her mom already!
She is such a people-horse and follows me around like a puppy. I could not be more smitten with her!

Update...
Wendy Wins Halloween Costume Class!!! ....show how magnificent she looked. her mane had snowy branches braided in it and a silver bird perched near her withers. Her tail also had silver glittery branches and leaves braided in it and she wore a garland around her neck. No one could believe that she's just a year and a half and patiently stood around for four hours while I groomed and decorated her!
Yesterday my children's book was finally released so I am officially a published author!....go to www.littlegabbybooks.com  for more info and please tell anyone you know with children that you know the author in Dallas! All purchases go towards me keeping Wendy! Update... The filly I purchased from you in May of 2008, Wendy, is three years old now and has been at the trainer for two months. I rode her today for the first time and thought I would share some of the pictures with you! She was absolutely phenomenal. I cannot believe what a calm disposition she has. I swear, she acts more mature than most of the horses I've ever ridden! I hear that's a Friesian thing. :) I could not love this mare anymore!!!

Update...5 years later... Wendy is doing famously! She broke 16 hands. She's five years old now. I literally had half a dozen people run up to me at the stables yesterday, raving about how exquisite she looks under saddle. It's really a shame I don't enjoy showing, because she would win everything down here! People literally beg me to sell her to them but I plan to treasure her for all of her days.

Hello Janna,

I have some genes connected with the Master Leonardo Da Vinci on my father side . As an artist ,I wish i had a microscopic part of his phenomenal talent,visionary skills and genius mind!!!! At least ,I share the fascination for horses with him and the need to catch their spirits on canvas...Majestic will be my muse and inspiration...Majestic is special and is an old soul..catching his spirit will be a challenge!!

i cannot thank you enough for giving me the privilege to have MAJESTIC...Kim loves him and takes good care of him ,spend a lot of time with him ..she walked him around to discover his new home ..I was afraid that he would be a little sad ...and i think he was..i saw that in his eyes the first days but he is very curious and always eager to please... His mane and tail are so long ..NOT ONE INCH !!....will be cut.. ever!. she already ordered the products you suggested for grooming...and she is doing the mane as you said!! i have a soul connection with him.... i may never want to leave his side! I am preparing a canvas to paint him it will be big and beautiful as he is....preparing a canvas takes a lot of time the surface has to become smooth like silk. You will get the first giclee on canvas of him as promised. Thank you again Janna!!!

Update... Hello Janna . I just send you a few pictures of Majestic ...he is precious and i love him but have almost no time to go to spend time with him because of my new perfume venture.. Kimberley Monk is taking such a good care of him...the tail is usually up as you know but for a photo ...he is sooo spectacular and sweet Thank you again to give me the privilege to have him under my care!! you don't own this horse ,he owns you ! I am sure you are still in his heart!!!:)

Hi Janna,

Cielia is wonderful and my daughter and I love her very much. She is doing fine. She also arrived well as scheduled and she seemed not to have suffered from the trip. She is spending most of her time inside the stable since the weather here has turned quite cold. She gets outside with a winter blanket a few hours a day for exercice. I am very pleased that everything turned out well and I won't be shy to recommend you to anyone who wants to acquire a nice friesian horse. Happy Hollidays and a very successful new year.

Update...

Hi Janna, Well Stefano finally made it  and is having a grand time. He is so cute and has a wonderful personality. Jim and he are bonding well and Jim is looking forward to a lot of trail rides with him. Stefano seems very happy and already has begun to adjust to his new environment. Thank you for everything.

Update... Your boy is doing GREAT! We love him, he is sooo sweet and willing. Jim has been spending a lot of time just hanging out with him, grazing him and last Wed. he rode him. Jim really thinks he is wonderful and is looking forward to many years of companionship with Stefano.

Hello Janna!
Wow, is he beautiful! We have been getting him used to Max today.... the cutest ears! They curl in more than any I've seen before. He does have more high stepping action than Max. They are going to make quite a team with their movement and action. He was incredibly relaxed when he got off the trailer. We were all surprised by how calm he was. He is just taking his time checking everything out. And we had quite the party. Friends showed up and after we got him settled in his paddock, we all had to sit on the front porch and drink wine while watching he and Max. We will be taking them both to the indoor arena tonight and spending a little time riding.  Please let Tim know that I think he is most special too and I will be taking very good care of him! Thanks again for another gorgeous, stunning Friesian! 

Update...
Just wanted to let you know how Marciano is doing. Very nice horse! I took him on his first mountain ride yesterday and he loved it! He was great on trails, over rocky areas and logs, up steep hills and down and totally outwalked the other two horses on the trail! I mean I left them behind! He REALLY moves out and I love it!!  He is so sweet and a joy to be around. He is a very kind horse and has a great work ethic. He really has a lot of "try". I am working with a trainer with him and we are doing great. Thanks again for another wonderful Friesian. Please tell Tim that I just love him and he is getting the best of care.

P.S. I think he really liked getting out of the arena and into the mountains. He just seemed so happy to be going somewhere! Not spooky at all.

Update... Just wanted to send you an update on Ulco (Marciano). Recently rode into the Bitterroot Selway Wilderness area to North Star Ranch that our friend owns. It is one of only 3 remaining private ranches in the backcountry. Ulco did fantastic! His work ethic is incredible and he just loves to move out. Very forward moving! Two of us rode in (three hour drive to trailhead and 3 hour ride in) and the rest flew in. You can only get to it by riding or flying (or hiking). All supplies are brought in by plane or helicopter. He has really become my buddy and Max’s, too. I think he might be my favorite one that I have purchased from you! Here are a few photos of us arriving at the cabins. Everyone that flew in got there by 10 am and Sharon and I arrived via horseback at 1:30 in the afternoon. So much fun with a great Friesian partner!
